Both teams play in the Central and South Norfolk league with the first team in division 1 and the reserves in division 2. Home games kick off at 2pm during the winter months and 3pm at the other times.

We also train at the same location on a Wednesday night from 7pm with the first team manager running the drills. Everyone trains hard and competitively, but with an aim to have a good time. Gressenhall are always on the look out for players to improve what is already a strong squad so please use the contacts page if you would like to come along and introduce yourself.

History

Gressenhall were formed in the summer of 2005, previously known as Longham they were formed in the 1950's where they had decent success throughout the years, boasting League Victories and cup wins on a very regular basis.

Still as Longham they joined the Central and South Norfolk league in the 1998/99 season and enjoyed a real purple patch in the clubs history- successively climbing through the leagues winning Division 2 and 3 on there way to Division 1. Cup success also came during this period with the club creating a time record of being the first side from Division 3 to reach the Ben Smith Memorial Cup Final.

Since becoming Gressenhall the club have solidly maintained there Division 1 status and are very proud to be able to boast a reserve side and are really looking to push on under the stewardship of a really good club committee.

The club would like to thank its sponsors, GT Bunnings and Gressenhall Social Club for there support.

Chairman's Message

As we enter our fourth season as Gressenhall Fc we are extremely proud to have two teams competing in the top 2 divisions of the Crown Fire Central And South Norfolk Leagues. Gressenhall Fc has and I hope will always be a club where the emphasis is on players/partners and the community to be involved, and to enjoy having a local team to either play for or support. This club is a club where we always try to make players feel that they are here to enjoy themselves and where they can express themselves and enjoy their football surrounded by friends. All existing and new players are always welcome! Gressenhall Fc has evolved from what used to be Longham Fc, changing its name when it 'moved to pastures new' under the passionate stewardship of the Legend Simon Mann after working its way through the league tables enjoying Title winning seasons and Cup Final appearances on regular occasions. Here at Gressenhall we are proud to support the Respect campaign and try to always make visiting teams and match officials visits to our home feel welcome and to try to make it as good an experience as possible for all involved.

Thankyou for taking the time for looking at our outstanding website and we look forward to welcoming you to our club.
